Bakhbar Kissan (Pvt.) Ltd. is looking for a GIS Frontend Specialist to revolutionize Pakistan's AgriTech industry using GIS & RS. In this role, you'll be responsible for front-end web development, creating automated GIS/RS workflows, and setting up an appropriate architecture. It is also necessary to have a good understanding of remote sensing workflows and concepts.

Responsibilities.

  • Gathering requirements, developing and customizing a complete Web GIS application.
  • Development of Web Services, SOAP, and RESTful APIs.
  • User Interface design based on provided mockups.
  • Translate application use cases into functional applications.
  • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Collaboration and coordination with other team members.
  • Work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with attention to detail, as required.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned.  

Specifications:

  • A minimum of two years experience in a comparable position of Freelancer with a track record of relevant employment would also be taken into consideration.
  • BS or MS in geoinformatics, geospatial technologies, geographic information systems, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise with popular WebGIS tools like Leaflet, OpenLayers, etc. Strong knowledge of web development, including JavaScript, Python, SQL, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and Node.js.
  • Practical experience with PostgreSQL database development.
  • The capacity to convert business requirements into technical requirements. excellent knowledge of raster processing.
  • Practical understanding of web server deployments and server configurations.
  • Outstanding debugging and fault-finding abilities.
